Lance Tchor, Founder & Co-President of WINGS®
WINGS® Coins, LLC was founded by Lance Tchor in 2008. He is one of the two Managers of WINGS ® Coins, LLC.
Lance also holds the title of Co-President of WINGS®. Lance will be the finalizer of the stickering process. He has been a full time rare coin dealer and a world coin expert since 1977.
Lance has personally built many number one world coin registry sets, and presently has four sets rated number one in the NGC Registry. In 2009 NGC saw fit to award him for outstanding achievement with the coveted BEST WORLD SET 2009, a best of the best award.
Lance has written over 100,000 auction lot descriptions for the world’s leading online numismatic auction company and has written numerous articles for several numismatic publications, including the ANA’s, “The Numismatist”. Copies of some of those articles can be seen on our News/Articles page.
He is life member #5190 of the ANA. He is also a life member of FUN, CSNS, and GSNA and he belongs to several other numismatic organizations.
Larry Michelson, Co-President of WINGS®
The administration of the company is managed by Larry Michelson, Esq.
Larry is a board certified tax attorney licensed in Florida and a Certified Public Accountant. This specialized designation in tax law is only awarded to individuals with a certain amount of work experience, the passing of a strenuous test and attending at least 32 hours annually of continuing legal education in tax courses and ethics.
Larry serves on the ANA Budget committee. He is also the Florida legal liaison for ICTA, the industry’s watchdog organization.
Larry is also a licensed Certified Public Accountant having received his CPA license in 1977 in Florida. He worked at a big eight accounting firm- Peat, Marwick, Mitchell (which is now one of the “Big-4).
He attended the University of Miami law school at night while continuing his full time day job as a CPA. He graduated from U.M. in 1981. He opted to continue his studies and he received a masters of law in taxation. Thus he received an LLM.-Taxation. This was 1982. He went to work for a large regional law firm in its tax department where he specialized in IRS controversies, corporate and business tax law.
He chairs his city’s (Pinecrest, FL) oral review board for its police department. No police officer is hired without getting his committee’s consent. This is a position that he has held since 1996. Further, he has sat on several boards, charities and donates numerous hours of pro-bono legal services.
Larry has been collecting coins since he was a child. He particularly enjoys old US commemoratives, Peace Dollars and various other US type coins from the 1800’s. In addition he has an extensive collection of 8 escudo gold coins from the 1700’s and 1800’s.
He has been married since 1977.
